Transfer orders in the platform record inventory movement between two of your locations (for example, from a warehouse to a 3PL or store). Transfer orders help you rebalance stock, prevent stockouts, and keep on-hand quantities accurate across locations. You can ingest, create, track, and export transfer orders in one place.
Depending on connector capabilities, data can flow into the platform from your WMS/ERP or be pushed out to those systems. The flow ends when the information is sent to Shipping Requests → Fulfillment → Arrival → Receipt.
Primary Use Cases
Inventory rebalancing: Move units from overstocked locations to low-inventory locations to protect availability.
Seasonal or launch distribution: Pre-position inventory ahead of demand spikes to speed delivery.
New location setup: Seed initial stock for a new warehouse or store.
Consolidation: Move goods to a hub for kitting, liquidation, or audits.
Emergency restocking: Cover shortfalls quickly at critical nodes.
FBA inbound: Prepare and track transfers to Amazon fulfillment centers.

Creating Transfer Orders
Create transfer orders manually in the UI, via CSV import, or through integrations (ERP/WMS or supported FBA inbound workflows).
Manual Creation (Form)
Go to Inventory → Transfer Orders → Create.
Select Source (from-location) and Destination (to-location).
-
Select Add item, search for a Product, and enter Ordered quantity for each SKU.
The table shows planning aids:Available (at source)
After Shipping Request (at source)
Available (at destination)
Upon Receipt (at destination)
In Details, enter Employee name, Incoterm, and Memo (optional).
In Shipping, set Expected ship date and Expected arrival date, and enter destination address fields.
Add Shipping carrier, Shipping service, Order source type, and any Shipping notes. In Custom fields, add any name/value pairs required by your workflows.
Select Create.
Required fields: Source location, Destination location, at least one SKU with an ordered quantity. Dates, carrier/service, address, and notes are optional but recommended for accuracy and speed at receiving.
Bulk Import (CSV)
In Transfer Orders, select Import CSV.
Download Import CSV Template to review the required schema and examples.
Populate the template with transfers and line items.
Upload the file. The platform validates data and flags errors for correction.
Confirm the import to create transfer orders in bulk.
Integrations
Transfers can be created or updated by supported connectors (for example, ERP/WMS or FBA inbound).
Depending on the connector, the platform can ingest transfer data or push updates downstream to keep systems aligned.
Exporting Transfer Orders
Transfer Orders export (CSV) — Full transfer data, including line items, status, locations, carrier/service, and identifiers. Use for audit trails, reconciliation, and integration handoffs.
Replenishment report (CSV) — Transfer-focused view to plan rebalancing across locations.
Steps to Track Fulfillment and Receiving
Create or ingest the transfer order.
Generate or receive a Shipping request from the source location.
Monitor Status and Timeline events as the carrier moves the shipment.
On arrival, record Received quantities at the destination. The destination’s on-hand updates accordingly.
Mark as complete when all items are received or the transfer is otherwise closed.
Troubleshooting
-
Status is not progressing
Check the Shipping request panel for routing or upload issues.
Open Show related events to confirm recent connector activity.
-
Quantities don’t match
Compare Requested, Shipped, and Received at the line-item level.
Verify partial shipments and confirm receipts at the destination.
-
Location not available
Ensure both Source and Destination locations exist and are active.
Confirm you have permission to create transfers for those locations.
-
Carrier or service missing
Add Shipping carrier and Shipping service on the transfer or during shipment creation.
Check connector mappings for normalized carrier names.
-
Import errors
Re-download the Import CSV Template to validate column names and formats.
Correct rows flagged in validation results and re-upload.
-
Export doesn’t reflect current records
Refresh the page to ensure you export the latest data.
Re-run the export after applying the desired filters.
