Connect Finale Inventory to Pipe17

Finale Inventory provides a cloud-based, multichannel inventory management software designed for high-volume eCommerce industries. Pipe17 supports the following connection flows to/from Finale Inventory: 

  • Pull and/or push orders from/to Finale Inventory
  • Pull OR Push products from/to Finale Inventory
  • Pull and/or push inventory from/to Finale Inventory
  • Pull and/or push fulfillments from/to Finale Inventory
  • Push purchase orders to Finale Inventory

Requirements

1/3: Before getting started on this guide, ensure that you have administrator access to your Finale Inventory portal. You will need to know the following pieces of information in order to establish a connection to Finale Inventory

  1. Account Name
  2. User Name
  3. Password

2/ 3: In addition, your Finale Inventory account must have the security group set to Owner or Admin. These settings can be found in Settings > Application Settings > Users. If your account is not set to Owner or Admin, please contact your Finale Inventory Administrator before getting started on this guide. 

 

3/3: The Finale Inventory account has to be on a Paid plan, the integration will fail to connect if you are on a Basic Plan with Finale Inventory.

Connecting Finale Inventory to Pipe17

  1. Login to Pipe17
  2. Open the Integrations Tab in the left navigation side bar
  3. Click Add Integration in the top right corner
  4. Search for Finale Inventory, and click on Add
  5. After clicking Add, leave ALL flow settings Disabled. We will revisit these later on in the guide. 
  6. Click Next
  7. Enter your Account Name in the first field. Your Account Name can be found in the URL bar when logged into your Finale Inventory account (screenshot above)
    1. Example: https://app.finaleinventory.com/ACCOUNTNAME/sc2/
  8. Next, enter your User Name used to sign into to Finale Inventory

  10. Click Connect
  11. Return to the Integrations tab to ensure that Finale Inventory shows as "Connected"

Connection Flow Settings

Pipe17 supports the following connection flows to/from Finale Inventory. Let's review all of them in detail: 

  • Orders
    • Pull orders from Finale Inventory: With this setting enabled, Pipe17 will begin pulling in orders from Finale Inventory
    • Push orders into Finale Inventory: With this setting enabled, Pipe17 will PUSH orders into Finale Inventory that may be originating from another source (ie: Shopify, Walmart, etc)
    • Process order changes in both directions: With this setting enabled, Pipe17 will perform both of the above actions. 
  • Products
    • Pull products from Finale Inventory: With this setting enabled, Pipe17 will pull your product catalog in from Finale Inventory. Your full list of products will be displayed in the Products tab in Pipe17. 
    • Push products to Finale Inventory: With this setting enabled, Pipe17 will PUSH products into Finale that may have previously been pulled into Pipe17 from another source. 
  • Inventory
    • Pull inventory from Finale Inventory: With this setting enabled, Pipe17 will pull inventory from Finale Inventory. Your inventory counts will appear in the Inventory > All Inventory tab. 
    • Push inventory to Finale Inventory: With this setting enabled, Pipe17 will push inventory pulled from another source into Finale Inventory. 
    • Process inventory changes in both directions: With this setting enabled, Pipe17 will perform both of the above actions.
  • Fulfillments
    • Pull fulfillment information from Finale Inventory: With this setting enabled, Pipe17 will pull fulfillment and tracking data from Finale, which can then be pushed to another connected integration. 
    • Push fulfillment information into Finale Inventory: With this setting enabled, Pipe17 will PUSH fulfillment/tracking data into Finale Inventory which may have originated from another source. 
    • Process fulfillments in both directions: With this setting enabled, Pipe17 will perform both of the above actions.

Finale Inventory: Other Settings

In addition to the connection flows noted above, Pipe17 gives you the ability to filter orders in and out of Pipe17 as needed. These settings can be found directly underneath your connection flows. Let's review all of these filters! 

 

  • Orders
    • Pull orders into Pipe17 only when associated with specific sale origins (locations): Add a sale origin (referred to as a location in Pipe17) here to tell Pipe17 to pull in orders ONLY from that origin. 
    • Exclude orders created before this date: Add a date/time to this field to tell Pipe17 to pull orders created after that date/time. 
    • Process only orders with specific order IDs: Add order IDs from Finale to this field to tell Pipe17 to only pull in those orders. 
  • Fulfillments
    • Process only fulfillments with specific Order IDs: Add Order IDs to this field to tell Pipe17 to push/pull fulfillments for those Order IDs only. 
  • Purchases
    • Process only purchases with specific purchase order IDs: Add one or more Purchase Order ID to this field to tell Pipe17 to process only those purchases. 
  • Products
    • Pull only products with specific SKUs: Add one or more SKU values to this field to tell Pipe17 to pull only those products from Finale Inventory. 
  • Inventory
    • Process only inventory items with specific SKUs: Add one or more SKU values to this field to tell Pipe17 to update inventory for those SKUs only
    • Push inventory for specified Finale Inventory sub-locations: Add Finale sub-locations to this filed to tell Pipe17 to push inventory for only items assigned to that sub-location.
