Connect Orderful EDI (Ecommerce) to Pipe17

The Orderful EDI Ecommerce connector connects the app to Orderful as a selling channel, so you can receive purchase orders from your EDI trading partner and send EDI documents back. It pulls purchase orders (850) into the app and pushes PO acknowledgments (855), ship notices (856), invoices (810), and inventory (846) to Orderful. The connector uses Orderful's Mosaic API and the ISA IDs of you and your trading partner.

With this connector, you can:

  • Pull purchase orders (850) from your Orderful poller bucket into the app every 5 minutes.
  • Send PO acknowledgments (855) that accept or reject orders.
  • Send fulfillments to Orderful as ship notices (856), right away or grouped by day or week.
  • Send invoices (810) to Orderful, either from invoices in the app or built from fulfillments.
  • Send inventory levels (846) for each location or as totals across all locations, on the schedule you choose.

Setup

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • An Orderful account with access to the Orderful portal.
  • An Orderful API token. You can find it on the API credentials page in Orderful settings.
  • The bucket ID of an Orderful Inbound Poller communication channel set up for Mosaic. The connector pulls purchase orders from this bucket.
  • Your ISA ID (Interchange Sender ID) and your trading partner's ISA ID.
  • An active trading partner relationship in Orderful for the documents you plan to exchange.

Troubleshooting

  • The connection fails with a missing ownerId or partnerId, or missing pollerBucketId, error
A required connection field is empty. Enter values in Your ISA ID, Partner ISA ID, and Poller bucket ID (Mosaic — orders & fulfillments), and then connect again.
  • The connection fails with a 401 or 403 error
The API token is wrong or doesn't match the environment. Check that API Token comes from the same Orderful environment you selected in Select Orderful environment.
  • Purchase orders don't appear in the app
Check that Pull orders from Orderful is on and that Process orders with specific order IDs is empty unless you're testing. In Orderful, check that the Inbound Poller channel is set up for Mosaic and that 850s are routed to it. If the bucket fills with other document types, they can block new purchase orders.
  • An order, fulfillment, or invoice has the status Failed
Orderful rejected the document, for example because of missing data or a trading partner relationship issue. Check the transaction in Orderful for the validation error, fix the data, and then send the document again.
  • Fulfillments aren't sent right away
Check Group fulfillments before processing. When you group daily or weekly, the app sends fulfillments only once on the scheduled day.
