Connect SHEIN to Pipe17

The SHEIN connector links your SHEIN seller shop to the app. It pulls your SHEIN warehouses and orders into the app and sends fulfillments, inventory, and products back to SHEIN. Pipe17 support sets up the connection with you.

With this connector, you can:

  • Pull your SHEIN warehouses into the app as locations.
  • Pull SHEIN orders into the app, with the option to limit them to Fulfilled by SHEIN (FBS) or Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM) orders.
  • Send tracking numbers and carriers for fulfilled orders to SHEIN.
  • Send available inventory for your products to SHEIN.
  • Match your SHEIN listings to products in the app by SKU, or list products from the app on SHEIN.

Setup

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • The connector turned on for your organization. This connector is in beta, so submit a support request to turn it on.
  • An active SHEIN seller account, and the sign-in details you use to authorize apps for your SHEIN shop.
  • Products in the app whose SKUs match the seller SKUs on your SHEIN listings, if you plan to send inventory to SHEIN.
Connect SHEIN pop-up

Self-service setup isn't available for SHEIN. The Connect pop-up shows a link to request setup, and the Pipe17 support team configures the connection with you.

To connect SHEIN:

  1. Navigate to Integrations in the app.
  2. Click Add Integration, and then select SHEIN.
  3. In the pop-up, click the link to request setup. The support team contacts you to complete the remaining steps.

  5. Select the language for SHEIN data in the Select language field. The default is English/English.
  6. Click Connect, and then sign in to SHEIN and allow Pipe17 access to your SHEIN shop.
  7. After you connect, toggle on the flows you want to use: Pull locations from Shein, Pull orders from Shein, Push fulfillments to SHEIN, and Push inventory to Shein. Then choose an option under Process product catalog updates.

Flows

Flow Direction Notes
Locations SHEIN → Pipe17 Runs every 5 minutes. Creates a location for each new SHEIN warehouse. Existing locations aren't changed.
Orders SHEIN → Pipe17 Runs every 5 minutes. Pulls new orders and refunded orders, based on their last update in SHEIN. A refund on an order that's already in the app marks it as canceled. Refunds on orders that aren't in the app are skipped. FBS orders come in with routing turned off, and they're marked as fulfilled when they're ready for SHEIN to collect.
Fulfillments Pipe17 → SHEIN Runs every 5 minutes. Sends the tracking number and carrier for each line in a fulfillment. The line SKU must match the seller SKU on the SHEIN order.
Inventory Pipe17 → SHEIN Runs every 5 minutes, in batches of up to 75 updates. Sends the available quantity from your SHEIN locations. The app sends inventory only for products that are matched to a SHEIN listing, through a product pull or push.
Products (pull) SHEIN → Pipe17 Runs every 5 minutes. Matches each SHEIN listing to the product in the app with the same SKU. The app doesn't create products. If no product in the app has that SKU, the app adds an inventory exception for it.
Products (push) Pipe17 → SHEIN Runs every 5 minutes. Lists new products on SHEIN, using the product images to find a SHEIN category. Products need images, a price, a name, a description, and package dimensions and weight. Products under SHEIN review are skipped until the review ends. If SHEIN rejects a product, the app submits it again on the next update. If you withdraw a product in SHEIN, the app stops syncing it.
Order cancellations Not supported The app doesn't send cancellations to SHEIN. Cancel the order in SHEIN directly.

Troubleshooting

  • An inventory exception says the product with this SKU doesn't exist
A SHEIN listing has a seller SKU that doesn't match any product in the app. Create the product in the app with the same SKU, or correct the seller SKU in SHEIN. The app matches it on its next run.
  • Inventory doesn't update in SHEIN
Check that Push inventory to Shein is on, and that Process product catalog updates isn't set to Disabled. The app sends inventory only for products matched to a SHEIN listing. Also check that Only apply inventory updates for specific SKUs is empty unless you're testing, and that the inventory is in a SHEIN location.
  • A product has an exception that lists missing requirements
SHEIN requires attributes or other details for the product's category. Add the missing properties to the product in the app, or set Choose which way to handle missing attributes values to Use placeholder value. If the exception says the product has no image, add product images. SHEIN uses them to pick the category.
  • Orders don't appear in the app
Check that Pull orders from Shein is on, that the order type is selected in Only pull FBS, FBM, or both types of orders from SHEIN, and that the order was created after Exclude orders created before this date. For an older order, update it in SHEIN so that the app picks it up.
  • The connection fails or every request returns an authorization error
The SHEIN authorization expired or was removed, or the wrong environment is selected. Check Select SHEIN API environment, and then reconnect and allow Pipe17 access to your SHEIN shop again.
