Connect Order Desk (Ecommerce) to Pipe17

The Order Desk connector links your Order Desk account to the app so orders flow into your central operations hub and fulfillment updates flow back to Order Desk automatically. Order Desk aggregates orders from your shopping carts and marketplaces, and this connector keeps orders, inventory, and fulfillment status synchronized without manual data entry.

This article covers the Order Desk e-commerce connector, which brings orders into the app. It is separate from the OrderDesk Fulfillment connector, which is used when Order Desk acts as a 3PL or fulfillment provider.

With the Order Desk connector, you can:

  • Sync orders from Order Desk into the app for centralized processing.
  • Push fulfillment and shipment tracking updates back to Order Desk.
  • Push inventory updates to Order Desk to keep stock levels accurate.
  • Sync product catalog data between the app and Order Desk.
  • Move orders between Order Desk folders as they progress through fulfillment.
  • Pull location data from Order Desk into the app.

Setup

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • An active Order Desk account with access to store settings.
  • Permission to create an API key in Order Desk.

  1. Navigate to the Connectors page in the app.
  2. Select Add Connector.

  4. Open https://app.orderdesk.me/settings/api in Order Desk.
  5. Select Create API Key.
  6. Copy the values for Store ID and API Key.

To add the connector and enter credentials later, select Add without credentials.

Troubleshooting

  • Orders are not importing from Order Desk
Order sync is disabled by default. Enable order sync in the connector settings, and confirm that the order folders setting includes the folder where new orders land in Order Desk. Orders in a folder outside the configured list will not import.
  • The connector fails to authenticate
Verify that the Store ID and API Key are entered correctly and that the API key has not been regenerated in Order Desk. Create a new API key at https://app.orderdesk.me/settings/api if needed, then re-enter the credentials and select Connect.
  • Fulfillment updates are not appearing in Order Desk
Fulfillment updates are disabled by default. Enable fulfillment updates in the connector settings. If the order was imported before fulfillment updates were enabled, the update may not push retroactively.
  • Inventory quantities are not updating in Order Desk
Inventory push is disabled by default. Enable Push inventory updates to Order Desk in the connector settings and confirm that products are matched by SKU between the app and Order Desk.
  • Older orders are not importing on initial sync
The sync start date controls how far back orders import. If it is set to the connector creation date, orders placed before that date will not import. Adjust the sync start date to include the earlier orders.
