The TikTok FBT Inbound connector brings your Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) inbound orders into the app as transfer orders and creates a shipment request for the location that ships the goods to TikTok. As TikTok receives the goods, the app posts the received quantities as receipts. The connector can also pull your FBT warehouses and on-hand FBT inventory. It’s separate from the TikTok Shop connector, which handles your storefront orders.
With this connector, you can:
- Create transfer orders in the app from TikTok FBT inbound orders.
- Create a shipment request for each transfer order, with TikTok’s inbound shipping label attached.
- Send tracking numbers from your fulfillments back to TikTok.
- Post the quantities TikTok receives as receipts.
- Pull your TikTok FBT warehouses as locations and FBT on-hand inventory into the app.
Setup
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- The connector turned on for your organization. This connector is in beta, so submit a support request to turn it on.
- A United States TikTok Shop that uses Fulfilled by TikTok, and permission to authorize apps for it.
- A location in the app for the warehouse that ships goods to TikTok, with a full address.
- A product in the app for each FBT item, with a SKU that matches the item’s reference code in TikTok.
To connect TikTok FBT Inbound:
- Navigate to Integrations in the app.
- Click Add Integration, and then select TikTok FBT Inbound.
- Leave TikTok Region set to United States. It’s the only region this connector supports.
- Click Connect. TikTok opens in a new tab.
- Sign in to TikTok Shop and approve access for Pipe17. When TikTok asks which shops to authorize, select only one shop. Each integration connects to one shop.
- Return to the app. The TikTok Shop Name field now shows the shop you connected. Check that it’s the right one.
- After you connect, toggle on the flows you want to use: Pull locations from TikTok, Pull FBT inbound orders from TikTok and use them to create Pipe17 transfer orders, Pull receipt information from TikTok, and Pull FBT inventory from TikTok.
Settings
| Setting | Description | Options/Default |
|---|---|---|
| Pull locations from TikTok | Creates a location in the app for each TikTok FBT warehouse and updates it every 5 minutes. | On/Off. Default: On |
| FBT hub warehouses TikTok does not list (WarehouseID:DisplayName) | TikTok’s warehouse list doesn’t include hubs, but inbound orders often ship to one. Enter one hub per row in the format WarehouseID:DisplayName, for example 7524324213391787831:XD01_ONT1. The app creates a location for each hub without an address. Open each new location and enter its address. |
Optional. One entry per row |
| Pull FBT inbound orders from TikTok and use them to create Pipe17 transfer orders | Creates a transfer order in the app for each FBT inbound order, and a shipment request for each transfer order. | On/Off. Default: Off |
| Pull shipping labels from TikTok | When on, each shipment request waits in Pending Shipping Label until the app attaches TikTok’s inbound shipping label, and then moves to Ready for Fulfillment. When off, shipment requests go straight to Ready for Fulfillment, and you print labels from TikTok Seller Center. | On/Off. Default: Off |
| Process FBT inbound orders only when their TikTok status is one of the selected | The TikTok statuses that create a transfer order. Keep the default for orders that still need to be shipped to TikTok. Later statuses mean TikTok already has the goods. Canceled orders always cancel the matching transfer order. | Working, Ready to ship, To be received, Arrived at hub, Internal transfer, Receiving, Partially received, Received, Delivered. Default: Working, To be received |
| Close the Pipe17 transfer order when its TikTok status is one of the selected | Closes an existing transfer order when the TikTok order reaches the selected status. Select the last status TikTok reports for your orders. A closed transfer order can’t be edited, but receipts still post to it. Draft transfer orders aren’t closed. | Received, Delivered. Default: none |
| Default source location for FBT transfer orders | The location that ships goods to TikTok. If you leave it empty, or the location has no address, transfer orders are created as drafts with an exception. | Location. Default: none |
| Automatically mark created transfer orders as fulfilled, when source location is not linked with a fulfillment channel | Marks the shipment request as fulfilled when no fulfillment integration is linked to the source location. Turn this on if you ship to TikTok outside the app, so receipts can post. | On/Off. Default: Off |
| Pull receipt information from TikTok | Posts the quantities TikTok receives to the matching arrival in the app. | On/Off. Default: Off |
| Pull FBT inventory from TikTok | Pulls on-hand inventory held in your FBT warehouses. Requires Pull locations from TikTok. | On/Off. Default: Off |
| Consolidate FBT inventory from all warehouses into a single location | Creates a location named TikTok FBT - Consolidated and reports inventory from all FBT warehouses to it. New transfer orders also receive into this location. Shipment requests still ship to the hub’s address. | On/Off. Default: Off |
| Only pull FBT inventory for specific SKUs | Pulls FBT inventory only for the SKUs you list. Use this while testing. | Optional. Empty pulls all |
Flows
| Flow | Direction | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Locations | TikTok → Pipe17 | Runs every 5 minutes. Creates and updates a location for each TikTok FBT warehouse. Also creates a location for each hub listed in FBT hub warehouses TikTok does not list (WarehouseID:DisplayName), once, and the consolidated location when Consolidate FBT inventory from all warehouses into a single location is on. |
| Transfer orders | TikTok → Pipe17 | TikTok has no way to list FBT inbound orders, so orders arrive through TikTok’s status change notifications and the Pull FBT inbound orders from TikTok by ID action. The app processes them every 5 minutes. Line items match products by the TikTok reference code. If the destination hub, source location, or an address is missing, the transfer order is created as a draft with an exception. |
| Shipment requests | Pipe17 → your 3PL | The app creates one shipment request per transfer order for the integration linked to the source location. With Pull shipping labels from TikTok on, the app attaches TikTok’s label when it’s ready, checking every 5 minutes. |
| Tracking | Pipe17 → TikTok | Runs every 5 minutes. When a fulfillment with a tracking number is created for an FBT shipment request, the app sends that tracking number to TikTok for every carton on the inbound order. |
| Receipts | TikTok → Pipe17 | Runs every 5 minutes for every expected, shipped, or partially received arrival. Posts only the quantity received since the last receipt. The app creates the arrival after the shipment request is fulfilled. |
| Inventory | TikTok → Pipe17 | Pulls on-hand quantities held in FBT warehouses, not storefront sellable stock. Each run reads the full FBT inventory, so the next run is scheduled 1, 4, 8, or 12 hours later depending on how long the last one took, or the next day at about 04:00. |
| Other regions | Not supported | Only United States TikTok Shops are supported. |
Troubleshooting
The connection fails after you approve access in TikTok
You authorized more than one shop, or none. Click Connect again and authorize exactly one shop. If TikTok reports that the token was deauthorized, reconnect the integration the same way.A transfer order is a draft with an exception
The exception names what’s missing. If the destination hub has no location, add it to FBT hub warehouses TikTok does not list (WarehouseID:DisplayName) and enter the new location’s address. If the source is missing, set Default source location for FBT transfer orders to a location with an address. Updating a location doesn’t re-pull the order, so run the Pull FBT inbound orders from TikTok by ID action afterward. To learn more, see Getting Started with Locations in Pipe17.The integration has an invalid SKU exception that lists TikTok goods
Those items have no product in the app with a SKU that matches their TikTok reference code, so they were left off the transfer order. Create the products, and then run the Pull FBT inbound orders from TikTok by ID action for the order. An FBT inbound order didn’t reach the app
Check that its TikTok status is selected in Process FBT inbound orders only when their TikTok status is one of the selected. TikTok sends a notification only when the status changes, so to bring in an order now, run the Pull FBT inbound orders from TikTok by ID action. No receipts post for a transfer order
Receipts post against an arrival, and the app creates the arrival only after the shipment request is fulfilled. Check that your 3PL fulfilled the shipment request, and that Pull receipt information from TikTok is on. To post receipts for specific orders, run the Pull receipt information from TikTok by external order id action.
