Connect eBay v2 to Pipe17

The eBay v2 connector syncs orders, fulfillments, products, inventory, locations, cancellations, and returns between eBay and the app using eBay’s Sell REST APIs. It works only with listings in eBay’s Inventory model, which are listings created through eBay’s Inventory API. Listings created in Seller Hub or with older eBay tools must be migrated to the Inventory model before the connector can see them.

With this connector, you can:

  • Pull paid eBay orders into the app every 5 minutes.
  • Cancel orders in the app when eBay cancels them, and send cancellations from the app to eBay.
  • Send tracking numbers from your fulfillments to eBay.
  • Pull eBay inventory items into the app as products, or push prices from the app to eBay offers.
  • Push available inventory to eBay.
  • Pull eBay inventory locations and returns into the app.

Setup

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • The connector turned on for your organization. This connector is in beta, so submit a support request to turn it on.
  • An eBay seller account and permission to authorize apps for it.
  • Your listings in eBay’s Inventory model, with a seller SKU on every item and variation. Listings created in Seller Hub or with older eBay tools aren’t visible to this connector until they’re migrated.
  • (Optional) Your own eBay developer app, if you don’t want to use the Pipe17 app: its Client ID, Client Secret, and a RuName (eBay redirect URL name).

Listings outside the Inventory model Not supported Listings created in Seller Hub or with older eBay tools aren’t visible to this connector until they’re migrated to the Inventory model.

Troubleshooting

  • No products or inventory sync for some or all listings
Those listings aren’t in eBay’s Inventory model, so the connector can’t see them. Migrate them in eBay, and check that every item and variation has a seller SKU. Also check that Push inventory only for products linked to an eBay inventory item isn’t skipping SKUs that have no link yet.

  • The integration stops syncing with an authorization error
The eBay access was revoked or expired. Click Connect again and approve access in eBay. If you use your own eBay app, check the Custom App Client ID, Custom App Client Secret, and Custom App RuName, and make sure the RuName’s accept URL is the OAuth Redirect URL.

  • A fulfillment wasn’t sent to eBay
eBay needs both a carrier and a tracking number. Add the missing carrier or tracking number to the fulfillment. Fulfillments without an order ID, and orders eBay already marks as fulfilled, are skipped.

  • An order has a late cancel exception
The order was canceled after some of it shipped. Shipped orders are never canceled on eBay, and shipments already sent can’t be stopped. Handle the order in eBay or with your warehouse directly.

  • An inventory exception lists SKUs that eBay rejected
eBay accepted the rest of the update and rejected the SKUs listed. Check that each SKU exists as an eBay inventory item on the marketplace you selected, and then use the Push inventory to eBay by SKU action to send them again.
