Mock connectors let you test end-to-end without touching live systems. Use Mock Ecommerce to simulate a selling channel and Mock 3PL to simulate a fulfillment provider. You can test either side independently or run a fully isolated sandbox using both.
Choose Your Test Setup
Goal | Use this setup | What you validate |
|---|---|---|
Test routing and fulfillment safely | Real ecommerce + Mock 3PL | Routing outcomes, shipping requests, fulfillments back to the app and your real channel |
Test ingestion and channel pushes safely | Mock Ecommerce + real 3PL | Order/product ingestion from a mock store; inventory and fulfillment pushes to a mock channel |
Full sandbox (no real systems) | Mock Ecommerce + Mock 3PL | Complete flow: products → inventory → orders → routing → shipping request → fulfillment → pushes back to channel |
Prerequisites
Locations mapped and routing rules drafted.
Test SKUs with unique SKU codes.
Steps
1. Add and configure Mock Ecommerce (selling channel)
In the app, go to Integrations → Add integration → Mock Ecommerce → Connect.
Pull products from Mock Ecommerce:
Settings → turn on Pull products.
Pull or place a test order in Mock Ecommerce, then ingest it:
Settings → turn on Pull orders.
Prepare channel pushes (used later in end-to-end testing):
Settings → turn on Pull locations.
2. Add and configure Mock 3PL (fulfillment channel)
In the app, go to Integrations → Add integration → Mock 3PL → Connect.
Seed inventory for test SKUs (required if your routing is inventory-aware):
Settings → turn on Pull inventory.
Prepare fulfillment flow:
Settings → turn on Pull locations.
3. Route orders to the mock location
In Order Routing, add or adjust a rule so your test order selects the Mock 3PL location.
Keep Push shipping requests off for real 3PLs while testing with the mock.
4. Send to fulfillment and verify the loop
In Integrations → Mock 3PL → Settings, turn on Push shipping requests.
Open your test order in Orders. If a shipping request already exists, select Cancel, then Rerun routing to regenerate and send the request.
The order status changes to Sent to Fulfillment. The mock 3PL will produce a fulfillment with tracking.
Confirm the order in Orders shows Fulfilled with tracking.
Because Push fulfillment is on for Mock Ecommerce, the fulfillment will also appear in the mock selling channel.
5. Clean up
Disable Push shipping requests if you are not going live.
Remove temporary routing rules and test inventory.
If you connected Mock Ecommerce to a real 3PL, cancel or close any test orders in that system.
Troubleshooting
