Overview
The Amazon MCF connection can push product prices from the app to your Amazon listings. When you turn it on, the app sends the price you keep on each product to Amazon every 5 minutes, so you maintain prices in one place instead of editing them in Seller Central.
- Price sync is one-way: the app sends prices to Amazon. It never pulls prices from Amazon.
- Price sync is off by default.
- Price sync is part of the Amazon MCF connection only. The Amazon Seller Central connection imports orders and products and pushes inventory, but it does not push prices.
Before you begin
- Connect Amazon MCF to the app. See Amazon MCF Setup Guide.
- Make sure the products you want to price already have an active listing in Amazon for the same SKU. The app updates the price on existing listings; it does not create listings.
- Make sure your products reach the app with an Amazon price level (see How it works).
How it works
Every 5 minutes, the app looks for products that changed since the last successful push and sends their Amazon price to the marketplaces you selected.
The app only sends a product when all of these are true:
- The product is published.
- The product is in your SKU list, if you set one in Only apply product updates for specific SKUs.
- The product has a price level named exactly Amazon.
The price level name is case-sensitive and must match exactly. A price level named amazon, AMAZON, or Amazon (with a trailing space) is not used, and the app does not fall back to your default price. A product without an Amazon price level is skipped without an error or exception, so it is the first thing to check when a price does not update.
The app maps these price levels to Amazon fields:
| Price level in the app | Amazon field | Required |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon | Your price (standard price) | Yes |
| Amazon_sale_minimum | Minimum seller allowed price | No |
| Amazon_sale_maximum | Maximum seller allowed price | No |
These are the default mapping rules. If your prices use different names, you can change the mapping on the Amazon MCF connection instead of renaming your price levels. See Customizing mappings in Pipe17.
If you don't send a minimum or maximum price, Amazon keeps the values already on the listing. Amazon rejects a price that falls outside the listing's minimum and maximum, so check those values in Seller Central if a price is not accepted.
Turn on price sync
- Navigate to Integrations and open your Amazon MCF integration.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Turn on Push product prices updates to Amazon.
- Select your marketplaces in Update product prices for these marketplaces. The default is United States.
- Optionally, enter SKUs in Only apply product updates for specific SKUs to limit the sync to those products.
- Save your changes.

The first push includes products updated since the setting was turned on. To send prices for your full catalog, turn on Force product prices resync (see Settings).
Settings
| Setting | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Push product prices updates to Amazon | Turns price sync on or off. When on, the app sends product price updates every 5 minutes. | Off |
| Update product prices for these marketplaces | The Amazon marketplaces that receive price updates. The app updates each marketplace separately, so a price sent to one marketplace does not change your price in another. | United States |
| Only apply product updates for specific SKUs | Limits price sync to the SKUs you enter. Useful for testing. After you change this list, turn on Force product prices resync. | Empty (all published products) |
| Force product prices resync | Sends prices for your whole published catalog once. The switch turns itself off when the resync starts. A full resync can take a long time for a large catalog. | Off |
| Use JSON_LISTINGS_FEED feed type to submit product prices updates | Sends prices through Amazon's Feeds API instead of the Listings Items API. Both send the same prices; leave this off unless support asks you to change it. | Off |
To resend one product, open the product's details page and select Sync. To resend a few products, select them on the Products list and select Touch.
Example
Your product SKU TSHIRT-BLK-M has these price levels in the app:
- Default: 24.99
- Amazon: 22.99
- Amazon_sale_minimum: 19.99
With price sync on and United States selected, the app sets your Amazon US price for TSHIRT-BLK-M to 22.99 and the minimum seller allowed price to 19.99. The maximum price on the listing stays as it is in Seller Central. The Default price is not sent.
Limitations
- The app manages your standard offer price only. It does not manage B2B prices, quantity discounts, or sale (discounted) prices; manage those in Seller Central.
- The app does not read prices back from Amazon. When Amazon accepts a price update, the app treats it as sent. If Amazon later rejects the price, the rejection appears in Seller Central, not in the app.
- Only published products are sent.
Best practices
- Name the price level exactly Amazon in your source system or ERP, and check that the name survives any mapping between that system and the app.
- Test with a short SKU list first, confirm the prices in Seller Central, and then clear the list and run Force product prices resync.
- If you sell in several marketplaces in different currencies, consider one Amazon MCF connection per marketplace so each one receives prices in the right currency.
Troubleshooting
- A product's price does not update in Amazon
Check that the product is published and has a price level named exactly Amazon (case-sensitive). Products without it are skipped without an error. Also check that the SKU is in your SKU list, if you set one. - The price was sent but Amazon still shows the old price
Open the listing in Seller Central and check the minimum and maximum seller allowed price. Amazon rejects prices outside that range. Also check Seller Central for listing errors, because the app does not read back the final price. - Prices update in one marketplace but not another
Check that the marketplace is selected in Update product prices for these marketplaces and that the SKU has an active listing in that marketplace. - I connected Amazon Seller Central and prices do not sync
The Seller Central connection does not push prices. Add and configure the Amazon MCF connection to sync prices.
